Mozilla Firefox build on Mac

Building Firefox on Mac wasn’t that hard of a task. However, I did run into a couple of issues before I could successfully build it.

  • First error I got was make: command not found.

The fix for this issue can be found on http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6767481/where-can-i-find-make-program-for-mac-os-x-lion

You will find this error if you recently upgraded to Xcode. The Xcode doesn’t install the command line tools by default. You will have to run XCode and go to XCode/Preferences, click Downloads tab and look for command line tools and install it.

  • The second error I encountered was with webm. As it can be seen in the picture below webm either requires yasm to be installed or it has to be disabled.
